Star is a growing town in Western Idaho with a population of over 10,000 people.  Due to the population growth, the existing elementary school needed to expand to meet the new requirements. Hutchison Smith Architects was selected to provide a solution.

The approved plan added 27,677 s.f. to the existing school and provided eleven classrooms, three resource rooms, a cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, restrooms, offices, and conference areas. The addition created a new entrance while updating the appearance and providing much-needed educational spaces.

Using an insulated exterior wall system that incorporated no-maintenance brick and ceramic wall palls for long-lasting beauty and exceeded the current Energy Code.
