The Idaho State Capitol Building was constructed in 1905 and is a prominent feature in the Boise skyline.  The existing roof consists of complex flashing details and three rotundas further adding to the complexity of the roof.  The existing roof is finished with a single-ply PVC membrane and copper.

HSA has been commissioned to do a survey of the existing roof to assess its general condition and identify current or potential issues. Accompanying this survey the current fall protection has been assessed which HSA found to be inadequate and we are currently working with the Division of Public Works and Idaho Capital Commission to provide a robust solution that will fulfill the demanding needs of the maintenance staff at the capitol building along with the historical appearance.  Roof access ladders, handrails, cabling for steep roof access, and walk pad will also be added to the roof providing a complete solution.
